Stack Overflow Adds Susan Walker to Leadership Team as Chief Financial Officer
30 year veteran to guide company in its path to profitability in the GenAI era
New York City – January 8, 2024 - Stack Overflow today announced the appointment of Susan Walker as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and her addition to its senior leadership team. As a seasoned technology executive with more than 30 years of financial experience across the SaaS landscape, she will be responsible for leading the finance, accounting and corporate development functions.
“As we finish this fiscal year and move into the next phase of Stack Overflow, a phase in which we will need to be more agile and more focused than ever on investing in our product in the evolving AI era—we need leadership that not only reflects that mission, but has experience in helping brands with a path to profitability during a key moment of industry transformation,” said Prashanth Chandrasekar, CEO of Stack Overflow. “Susan’s addition to our leadership team is a reflection of that dedication and a testament to the experience she brings to us to help us achieve our aggressive goals as a company.”
Most recently, she served as the CFO of Jumio where she led accounting, FP&A, business information, business development and operations. Prior to that, Susan served as CFO to leading technology companies including Digital Guardian, Telestream, Avention, Novell (Americas), and earned consulting experience across the portfolios of global leaders like JPMorgan Securities and The Boston Consulting Group.
“I’ve always prided myself for being a hands-on player with a passion for analytical thinking across complicated sectors of the technology landscape. With that in mind, I can’t think of a better place for me to be than at Stack Overflow,” said Walker. “I’m looking forward to joining a team that is focused on helping millions of the world’s developers and technologists achieve their goals with knowledge built on the foundation of 15 years’ worth of trusted and accurate data.”
The appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer comes after the recent addition of Ryan Polk as the company's new Chief Product Officer. Walker, along with the full senior leadership team, will drive operational efficiency and business strategy as the company takes on the next phase of growth and expansion.
