To improve the quality of questions on the platform and to make reviewing easier, we are exploring new ways for users to format their code according to the language they are using. This way, reviewers and curators can more easily focus on the content of the question and help users get better answers.

The key benefits:

  • Question askers are able to easily receive suggested edits for their drafted question before posting it publicly.
  • Question reviewers are able to better-format questions, allowing them to spend less time suggesting edits or improving the post.
  • Users of Stack Overflow can see higher quality and better-formatted content on the site.

The meta sites are our sites behind the sites - they’re places to discuss site policy and ask questions about how the sites work. The Company also uses meta sites for two-way communication directly with community members. It’s our way of getting bug reports and feature requests as well as where we share upcoming changes, particularly on ‘Meta Stack Exchange’, the network-wide meta site.
