Stack Overflow is seeking an experienced SMB Account Executive (small to medium businesses, accounts with up to 1,500 employees) to join our growing team! As an SMB Account Executive, you’ll own the complete sales process from start to finish. You’ll work closely with Sales Managers and Sales Engineers to take a business prospect to an active Stack Overflow client. In addition, you’ll help businesses increase productivity, decrease cycle times, accelerate their time to market, and protect their institutional knowledge.

This position is the tip of the spear with regard to client Growth - you will be part of an incredible team and have resources supporting you so that we can all win together!

This role is based in the UK.

What you'll do:

  • Generate new leads and new relationships by keeping a pulse on the industry.
  • Develop sales strategies and stay up-to-date with business trends.
  • Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Maintain a robust new business pipeline through regular prospect follow-up and nurturing.
  • Conduct pricing negotiations.
  • Close new business deals.

What we expect from you:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
  • Strong prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High-energy levels paired with curiosity, an agile mindset, and a strong desire to learn business in a dynamic company.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and implementation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal) with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • High attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Passionate about the Stack Overflow story and our global connection to developers and ways that we can help them learn, share and level up.
